Alabama Audubon

Alabama Audubon logoFounded in 1946 as the Birmingham Audubon Society, Alabama Audubon has since grown to become our state’s leading nonprofit promoting conservation and a greater knowledge of birds, their habitats, and the natural world. While we’re certified as a chapter of the National Audubon Society, we are also an independent 501(c)(3) with staffed offices in Birmingham and Mobile.

As Alabama’s only staffed Audubon entity, we work closely with our partners at Tennessee Valley Audubon Society, Mobile Bay Audubon Society, and Shoals Audubon Society to strengthen the Audubon network and connect all of our state’s residents with conservation opportunities.
